Shankhadhari Prabhu (JPS)

His Grace Shankhadhari Das disciple of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, completed his M.Tech (Control Systems) in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1984. He served as a scientist in Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Satellite centre and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He also served as a Project Manager for IBM for Palm Top PC/AT project and also for AT & T for Electronic Mail Development. He is also a professional ISO 9000 Auditor by British Standard Institue (BSI).

During 1990, he was impressed by the Life History of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and His Teachings through His books and in 1994 dedicated himself fully to ISKCON particularly to student community. He gives classes on Yoga systems, Mind Control & Personality development for students of various Engg. & Medical colleges. As a result Madurai university prescribed two books of ISKCON namely 'Perfection of Yoga' and 'Science of Self Realization' as text books for Personality Development course for I year Engg. Students (1997-2000). He has conducted more than 200 camps and classses in Yoga. Over 6000 students from more than 20 institutions have benefited.

He has constructed two temples, one at Madurai and another at Tirunelveli where he serves as the Temple President and also developed a Yoga ashram of 20 acres at Periyakulam, Theni District , all located in Tamil Nadu, India.He also serves as the member of ISKCON India Bureau and also as the Zonal Secretary for Karnataka, India. He is the Publisher of the widely read Krishna Consiousness Monthly Magazine in Tamil Language namely "Krishna Amutham" which is being published since 1999.He widely preaches around the Southern districts of Tamilnadu, India inspiring hundreds of families to seriously practice the sublime teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. Various namahattas are functioning in Southern Districts of Tamilnadu under his Guidance.
